Introduction to Yanggao County, Shanxi, China
Yanggao County is located in the northeastern part of China's Shanxi Province, under Datong City, at the junction of Jin, Hebei and Mongolia provinces and districts, with a total area of about 1,670 square kilometers. The county has a long history, with human activities as early as the Neolithic Age, and is an important area for the intermingling of the Central Plains culture with the nomadic culture of the north. It has historical and cultural relics such as the Ming Dynasty Great Wall Ruins and Yunlin Temple, and is rich in tourism resources. The economy is mainly based on agriculture, producing corn, cereals and small grains, while gradually developing specialty farming and agricultural products processing industry.
