Tian'e County is located in the northwestern part of Hechi City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China, on the edge of the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau and the upper reaches of the Hongshui River. As one of the larger counties in Guangxi, it is known for its rich natural resources and unique ethnic culture.
Tian'e County boasts the Longtan Grand Canyon National Forest Park and the Longtan Hydropower Station - the second largest hydropower station in China. With a forest coverage rate of over 80%, it is an important ecological barrier in the Pearl River Basin, rich in biodiversity, and known as a "green treasure trove".
The area is dominated by the Zhuang and Yao ethnic groups, which have preserved traditional customs such as the copper drum culture and the Ant Kidnapping Festival.
