Taikang County is part of Zhoukou City, Henan Province, China, located in the East Henan Plain, with a total area of 1,759 square kilometers and a population of about 1.5 million. As one of the important birthplaces of Chinese civilization, Taikang has a long history, known as "Yangxia" in ancient times, and is the hometown of Wu Guang, the leader of the peasant revolt at the end of Qin Dynasty.
Taikang is home to the national intangible cultural heritage "Taikang Daoxiang", as well as cultural relics such as the Temple of Literature and the Shousheng Temple Pagoda. Rich in agricultural resources, Taikang is a national commercial grain production base county, and its specialty industries include boiler manufacturing and textile industry. The transportation is convenient, with Daguang Expressway and National Highway 311 passing through the county, and Zhoukou Airport is only 50 kilometers away.
In recent years, Taikang has continued to promote industrialization and urbanization, formed pillar industries such as equipment manufacturing and food processing, and has been awarded the titles of National Advanced County of Grain Production and Hometown of Boilers in China, and is actively integrating into the development pattern of the Central Plains Economic Zone.
