Yitong Manchu Autonomous County is located in the south-central part of Jilin Province, China, under the jurisdiction of Siping City, and is the only Manchu autonomous county in Jilin Province. It is located in the transition zone between the remnants of the Changbai Mountains and the Songliao Plain, only 50 kilometers away from Changchun, the capital of the province, and belongs to the core area of Changchun's 1-hour economic circle.
Yitong is characterized by Manchu culture, with cultural and tourist attractions such as the Yitong Manchu Museum and the Valley of Pastoral Love. It is rich in natural resources, producing oil, natural gas and mineral water, and is known as the "Pearl of Jilin Oil and Gas Basin". Agriculture is dominated by corn and rice cultivation, and animal husbandry is well-developed. Convenient transportation, Changliao Expressway and Changyi Highway run through the whole territory, which is an important logistics node in central Jilin.
The county has four distinct seasons, with a windy spring, a warm and rainy summer, a cool fall and a long, cold winter. Major tourist attractions include natural landscapes such as the Dagushan Volcanic Complex and Shoushan Lake, as well as intangible cultural heritages such as Manchu paper-cutting and Shaman culture.
