Wudu District is located in the southeastern part of Gansu Province, China, and is the administrative center of Longnan City, which is situated in the transition zone between Qinba Mountain Area and Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau, with Bailongjiang River Basin as the core. The area has a northern subtropical climate with four distinct seasons and rich agricultural resources, producing olives, peppercorns and traditional Chinese medicines, and is known as the "Hometown of Olives in China". Wudu has a long history, since the Qin and Han dynasties, it is the important birthplace of ancient Qiangdizhi culture, with natural and humanistic landscapes, such as Wanxiang Cave and Yaozhaigou. As a transportation hub at the junction of Gansu, Shaanxi and Sichuan, Wudu's economy is based on agriculture and tourism, and is gradually developing ecological industries, making it the cultural and economic core city of Longnan.
