Overview of Siachen County, Anhui, China
Siachen County belongs to the city of Suzhou, Anhui Province, China, located in the northeast of Anhui Province, at the southern end of the Yellow-Huai Plain and bordering with Jiangsu, it is an important county at the junction of Anhui and Jiangsu Provinces. The county has a total area of 1,787 square kilometers and a population of about 900,000, with 15 townships under its jurisdiction.
History, Culture and Characteristics
Siachen County, known as Hongxian in ancient times, was founded in the Qin Dynasty, with a history of more than 2,200 years of establishment, and is the world cultural heritage "China Grand Canal" flowing through the place. It is the "Hometown of Taro in China" and the "Main Grain Producing Area in Northern Anhui", and the traditional opera "Sizhou Opera" has been listed in the national intangible cultural heritage.
