Mojokerto is a historical city located in East Java, Indonesia, about 50 kilometers from the provincial capital of Surabaya. It is known for its rich cultural heritage, especially as an important site area of the empire of the Manchu Boei, once one of the centers of the ancient Javanese kingdom. The city is surrounded by many archaeological discoveries such as temples and ancient inscriptions that attract history buffs to explore. Economically, Mertero is dominated by agriculture, small-scale industry and tourism, with a warm and humid climate suitable for growing crops such as rice. With a population of about 130,000, the city has a slower pace of life, making it suitable for experiencing traditional Indonesian culture.
Located in the lowland plains of East Java, close to the Brentas River, Mertero has easy access to major cities such as Surabaya by road and rail. The climate is tropical rainforest type, warm all year round, with the rainy season concentrated from November to March, and the suitable time for traveling is from April to October in the dry season.
