Mukthinath, Nepal
Mukthinath is located in the Mukthang district of northwestern Nepal, at an altitude of about 3,710 meters in the southern foothills of the Annapurna range of the Himalayas, and is a sacred site for both Hindus and Buddhists. It is famous for the Mukthinath temple complex, which has 108 natural waterholes (Mukthinath means "god of liberation"), where devotees believe that bathing in the water cleanses them of their sins.
