Lechang, Guangdong: A Historical and Ecological Pearl at the Northern Gateway of Guangdong Province
Located in the northern part of Guangdong Province and administered by Shaoguan City, Lechang City is situated at the junction of Guangdong and Hunan, known as the "Gateway to Northern Guangdong" and an important transportation hub connecting South China and Central China. The city has a long history, with more than 1,500 years since the county was established during the reign of Emperor Wu of Liang in the Southern Dynasty, and is known as "Lechang", which means "Prosperity and Well-being", with a deep cultural heritage. The natural scenery of the territory is exquisite, with Jinji Ridge (a red tourist attraction), Jiufeng Mountain (a provincial forest park), Dayaoshan Ecological Zone and other landscapes, and the Wujiang River passes through the city, which has nurtured rich ecological resources.
