Jianggan District is a former municipal district of Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, located on the north bank of the Qiantang River, in the core area of Hangzhou, and is one of the traditional political, economic and cultural centers of Hangzhou.In 2021, with the approval of the State Council, Jianggan District merged with the lower part of the district to establish the new Shangcheng District, which is now under the jurisdiction of Shangcheng District in Hangzhou.
