Jiangdu, a municipal district of Yangzhou City, Jiangsu Province, is located in the northern wing of the Yangtze River Delta and the southern end of the Jianghuai Plain, and is known as the "Pearl of the Yangtze River and Huaihe River". As the core area of the main city of Yangzhou, Jiangdu has been a major land and waterway hub since ancient times, where the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal, the Yangtze River, the New Tongyang Canal and other waterways converge, giving rise to a profound canal culture.
