Haicheng City is located in the south of Liaoning Province, China, under the city of Anshan, in the transition zone between Liaodong Peninsula and Liaohe Plain. As an important county-level city in Liaoning Province, Haicheng is famous for its well-developed private economy, textile and garment industry and magnesite resources, and is known as the "Hometown of Magnesite in China" and the "Famous Textile City in the North".
History, Culture and Geographic Features
Haicheng has a long history, as early as in the Neolithic era, there are human activities, the existing Jinniu Mountain ancient human ruins. The city is surrounded by the remaining veins of the Thousand Mountains, and the Taizi River passes through the city, forming a natural pattern of "seven mountains, one water and two fields". Haicheng stilt rice-planting songs, trumpet theater and other folk arts are listed in the national intangible cultural heritage.

Haicheng has the largest professional market cluster in northern China - Xiliu Garment Market, with an annual turnover of over 100 billion yuan. As an important node city in Shenyang Economic Zone, the transportation network is well developed, with the Harbin-Dalian High Speed Railway and Shen-Dalian High Speed Railway running through the whole territory, and only 30 kilometers away from Tengao Airport in Anshan, constituting a three-dimensional transportation system.
