Located in the southeast of China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Guigang is an important inland port city in Guangxi, with a total area of about 10,600 square kilometers. As the core node of the Xijiang Economic Belt, Guigang has become an important hub connecting Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao Bay Area with the southwest region by virtue of the Xijiang Golden Waterway.
Guigang has a long history and was known as "Guizhou" in ancient times, and is one of the birthplaces of the Zhuang culture. The city is a blend of Lingnan culture and ethnic minorities, with cultural and natural landscapes such as the Nanshan Temple and the Pingtianshan National Forest Park. Famous for its lotus flowers, the city is known as the "Lotus City" and organizes the Lotus Festival every summer to attract many tourists.
