Located in the northeastern part of Jiangsu Province, China, Ganyu is a district under the jurisdiction of Lianyungang City, situated on the coast of the Yellow Sea and bordering Shandong Province, with a total area of 1,514 square kilometers and a population of about one million. The region has a long history, being the starting point of Xu Fu's eastward journey during the Qin Dynasty, and is rich in cultural heritage and natural landscapes.
Ganyu's economy is dominated by marine industry, agriculture and manufacturing, and it is an important seafood farming and processing base in Jiangsu Province, producing shrimp and seaweed. In recent years, the new energy and port logistics industries have been developing rapidly, with Qingkou and Zhewang ports fueling regional trade. gdp has continued to grow, reaching about 80 billion yuan in 2022.

Ganyu has convenient transportation, adjacent to Lianyungang port and airport, with Lianhuo Expressway and Qingyan Railway running through the whole area, integrating into the Yangtze River Delta economic circle. The excellent geographical location makes it a logistics and transportation hub in the north of Jiangsu Province, with great potential for development.
