Fuqing City is located on the eastern coast of Fujian Province, China, under the jurisdiction of Fuzhou City, and is an important part of the Golden Triangle Economic Circle at the mouth of the Minjiang River. The city has a total area of about 2,430 square kilometers, with a resident population of more than 1.39 million, predominantly Han Chinese, speaking Fuqing, a common dialect of eastern Fujian.

Geographic and Economic Characteristics

Fuqing is surrounded by mountains and the sea, has a natural deep-water harbor, Jiangyin Port, and is a state-level economic and technological development zone. The economy is dominated by industry, with well-developed electronics, chemical, and glass manufacturing industries, and well-known companies such as TPV Technology and Fuyao Glass originated here.
