Ezhou is located in the eastern part of Hubei Province, China, an important part of the Wuhan City Circle, and on the south bank of the middle reaches of the Yangtze River. As a prefecture-level city in Hubei Province, Ezhou has a total area of 1,596 square kilometers and a population of about 1.06 million. It is known as the "City of a Hundred Lakes", with many lakes such as Liangzi Lake and a beautiful ecological environment.
Ezhou has a long history, with records of city construction since the Spring and Autumn and Warring States Periods, and was once the capital city of the Three Kingdoms Period, when King Sun Quan of Wu claimed the title of Emperor (then known as Wuchang). The modern economy is based on the pillars of steel manufacturing, electronic information, logistics and modern service industries. Ezhou Huahu Airport is China's first professional cargo hub airport, which helps regional logistics development.
Tourism resources are abundant, including cultural landmarks such as Xishan Scenic Area, Lotus Hill and museums, blending natural and humanistic landscapes and attracting many tourists. Conveniently located near Wuhan, the city has a well-developed network of high-speed railways and highways, and is a key node of the Yangtze River Economic Belt.
