Located in the central part of Liaoning Province, China, Dengta is a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Liaoyang City, situated in the transition zone between Liaodong Peninsula and Liaohe Plain. With a total area of about 1,300 square kilometers and a population of about 500,000, the city's economy is based on agriculture, industry and mining.
